Agroforestry: A solution to farming’s biggest problems?

Jochen Hartmann a farmer and agroforester from Germany, has implemented an alley cropping system on his farm – he has planted rows of poplar trees across his fields and combines them with crop production and poultry farming. The poplar trees cover about 10% of his 200 hectares!
