Dr. Elisabeth Lagneaux is an Associate Senior Researcher at the Wyss Academy for Nature, where she is engaged in interdisciplinary research projects on agroecology. Having lived in the Amazon for nearly a decade, her work has focused on farming systems, deforestation, and restoration strategies. She currently studies agroforestry adoption and coordinates the implementation and monitoring of pilot plots.

Elisabeth is also an Associate Scientist at the International Potato Center and is affiliated with Wageningen University & Research, where she explores the use of serious games to support transformative change in agroforestry landscapes. She serves as Vice-President of the International Union for Agroforestry (IUAF), following her appointment in 2025. She is a Fellow and alumna of the Foundation of German Business (SDW).
