The Secretariat is the operational body responsible for the day-to-day management of IUAF.

The Secretariat is envisioned as a strong, cost-effective coordination hub that provides leadership and services to support the work of Members. It is responsible for supporting regular meetings of the bodies of IUAF and for implementing decisions of IUAF bodies. The Secretariat is tasked with coordinating, managing, and administering all functions allocated to it by the Board in accordance with the Statutes.
