Agroforestry associations in Spain
The AGFE (Spanish Agroforestry Association) is a multidisciplinary group composed of technicians, researchers, farmers, ranchers, foresters, companies and administrators, who share an interest in agroforestry systems and practices.
This association was officially created in 2016 with the following objectives:
- Promote the adoption of agroforestry systems and practices in Spain;
- Work for the application of the CAP, taking into account agroforestry systems, both for the application of payments under pillar I and for the implementation of rural development measures (pillar 2);
- Create a meeting place between technicians, researchers, farmers, ranchers, foresters, and companies;
- Participate as a Spanish representative in the European Agroforestry Federation (EURAF)
