Arun K Handa Doctorate in Forestry from Solan university, one of the primer universities of Forestry Education in India serves as a member of IUAF Board. He represents Central Agroforestry Research Institute an Institute dedicated to agroforestry research, development, and coordination in India under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, India.
Arun has more than 26 years of experience in the field of agroforestry research and development and contributed towards tree-crop combinations for optimizing cumulative production and economics of tree-based agroforestry systems; developing guidelines for quality planting material of agroforestry tree species. He has been associated with the studies on the carbon sequestration potential of agroforestry in different agro-climatic zones of India. He is closely associated with agroforestry policy formulation, development, and implementation in India. He is a member of various professional societies in the field of agroforestry in India.
